The National Competition Commission (NCC) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade has received a report from Toyota Vietnam Co., Ltd. (the Company) regarding the progress of 59 recall programs for the vehicle models produced, assembled, imported, and officially distributed by the Company.

Based on the information and documents provided by the Company, the NCC would like to inform about the progress of the aforementioned recall programs as follows:

  1. General Information about the Product Recall Program

    From February 17, 2012, to June 30, 2024, the Company has implemented 59 recall programs for the vehicle models produced, assembled, imported, and officially distributed by the Company. Among them, 12 programs have been completed, while the remaining programs will continue to be executed to ensure the rights and safety of consumers.

  3. Guidance on Necessary Measures to Ensure Safety and Consumer Rights During the Recall Process

    The Company advises consumers, for their own and their passengers' safety, to promptly bring their vehicles to Toyota and Lexus dealers authorized by Toyota Vietnam Co., Ltd. nationwide for inspection/replacement completely free of charge according to the contents of the announced recall program.

    For non-genuine imported vehicles covered by the recall as announced by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), upon request from the vehicle owner, the Company will assist in contacting TMC for information. After receiving confirmation and consent from TMC, the dealer will proceed with inspection/replacement free of charge for the consumer.

    If consumers wish to check whether their vehicle is affected by this program, they can contact the Company or Toyota and Lexus dealers nationwide for assistance.
