State management agency on consumer protection

The system of state management agencies in charge of protecting consumer interests in Viet Nam includes:

1. The Ministry of Industry and Trade: is the central state management agency in charge of protecting consumer interests.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Authority (VCCA): is the agency that helps the Minister of Industry and Trade perform the state management of consumer rights protection nationwide.

The Consumer Protection Division and the Standardized Contracts and General Transaction Conditions Division are the two main units of VCCA, which are responsible and function to assist the General Director of VCCA to implement consumer rights protection across the country.

2. The Provincial People's Committee: is the state management agency in charge of protecting the interests of consumers in the locality, implementing activities to protect the interests of consumers in their province.

Department of Industry and Trade: is the body that assist the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee perform the state management of consumer rights protection in their locality.

3. The District-level People's Committees: shall decide which units of the Committee to assist the Committee's Chairman in performing the function of state management of consumer rights protection in their respective districts.
